400 years of naval history between the Netherlands and Turkey was celebrated in this special exhibition on board the Zr. Ms. De Ruyter in Izmir.

The exhibition showed—for the very first time—the unrealised designs of Dutch architect Willem Marinus Dudok for the city of Izmir in Turkey. Included were models of the main buildings as well as the Turkish master plan for the Konak Square in the centre of town. It was followed by a two day symposium.
